Even the people who have moved to South Bend within ten years realize that satisfactory returns are being made by building owners on property which they have built or improved. And those who have had buildings for a longer time than ten years have been even more fortunate. A look around this city will bring to light this fact: Owners of apartments, flats, single houses, and bungalows have a steady income with little worry about their property. But while we say a good word for the building of residences and other buildings for rental purposes, the big thing is to recommend the building of residences which will be occupied by the owners and that is a real investment which bjings the greatest returns. The man who owns his home discovers that he has made a real investment. If he was sensible in his plans, his location and his designs he has made a good financial investment. But he also has an investment in happiness, security, peace and comfort, investments which cannot be valued in dollars and cents.
