The matter of purchasing a boat for the use of the police department upon rivers and lakes adjacent to South Bend was postponed and will be- taken up at the next meeting. In answer to queries sent to other firms a set of plans lias also been received from th Burger Beat Co., of Manitowae, Wis. H. C. Owing to business reasons he was unable to attend the region last night, which caused the board to postpone discussion of th measure.
