dealers, the men whom you have known and dealt with for many years perhaps ask them how building prices compare with the building prices of a few months or a few years ago. Put the question up frankly to them. Do this and there will be a real building boom in South Bend for building prices ARE down and away down! Call on any of the lumber companies and you will discover that lumber is down. Roofing contractors will prove by bids that roofing prices are low. Painting contractors will give you lower bids on painting jobs. Wall paper is lower in price. Sheet metal work is down. Electrical equipment jand wiring are lower. General contractors take work on a smaller margin than they did a year ago. The price of building brick is down. Plumbing work has been reduced. New

furnaces and heating plants may be installed more cheaply than before. Enamelware and general household equipment are down. Mason work is reduced again. Cement and cement work are down.
