Eighty-four entries have already been made and these pictures with others entered later must pass the board of jurors before bein? hung for dif lay. This exhibit is the third important event that the Art Department of the club has sponsored and promises to be a most delightful affair, the opening afternoon being in the nature of a reception. East April, under the leadership of Mrs. C. E- Francis, the department launched the Citizen's Loan Exhibit, which gave an opportunity to art lovers to view- the pictures owned by people residing in Souta Bend. In January, the Art Department presented Charles Burkholder, secretary of the Chicago Art Institute, in the lecture "The World's Master Paintings," which proved to be one of the most interesting events of the club season. What wouil you do? Surely I could do that much for him, for I love him ?o dearly, and you know w" ar" Koine: to be married soon anyway. No o;i' kiiow.s of this plan except him and you and me. Vou don't think we are too young, do you '.' And pb as" don't call this puppy love, for it isn't. AN.VL: Wliy do you wish to e'.ope, my dfar? Do you think it is a very dignified thin? to do or kind to your family and to those who love you? Why do you consider it more romantic than having a nice weddin? at home with those who love you with you on that day? Vou are both rather younsr to b married. Wouldn't it be wise to wait until the youn? man is of ace before you take su h a serious step? Think this over carefully, and, ahove all. don't run away to be married! DEAR A.VMi: LACK IE: I am a young school teacher, and am engagol to a certain yo jng man. I love him d.arly, and I am sure he loves me. He gave me a diamond ring. but after a few weeks he took it back to exchange It and has never pot me another. What would you do about this? Would you consider the engagement broken? Every time I call him on the 'phono his brother answers, and talks very impertinently to me. Would you advise me to c.l him or let him call me? LANKA. LANKY: Sorely, if th". young man said he was going to exchange the ring, he did not mean that he was breaking the engagement. Why not wait for him to telephone to you? Even if you are engaged, it is better to let him make the advances. DEAR ANNTE LAURIE: I am a girl 18 years old. and recently at a party I met a your.,? man one year by senior. Since the party he has been to see me nearly every' night, and stays till late in the evening. Father will not permit me to k p company after li0:30 o'clock, and he told him, but he Insists on remaining. He tells me he does not like to insist on calling, but as his mother and father aro dead he likes to spend the evenings in our company. On his last visit he spent most of the evening talking to Father, and at last wanted to know whether he could board here. Father said "No," and It made him angry. Father said I should Htop keeping company with him. and Mother agreed with him. That was his lafct visit till two weeks later. Before leaving that evening he proposed to me, wanting mo to run off with him to get married. Will you please advice me what to do for I know it will be no use to ask Father or Mother, as they will say no, and I do not like to do anything without their consent, for I know that Mother and Father's advice, Is best. EXCITED. EXCITED: You are a wise pirl to realize that your parents' advice is valuable. The best thing that I can do to help you is to tell you to follow their advico carefully and give your every confidence to them. You will be a happy girl if you do. Abovo all, don't run away to get married! DEAR A.VNIE LAURIE: I am a young man 22 years old. and have ken keeping company with a young woman of 19 for the last two years. I love the girl dearly, and I believe she loves me, but she won't tell me. She just keeps putting nie off. and when I talk about marriage she tells me there is no such a thing. Now. I don't wish to quit going with this young woman, nor do I want to lose her friendship, but I am "up the pole," and don't know what to do. so kindly adxdse mo. ANXIOUS BOY. ANXIOUS BOY: If you an? In a position to marry the girl and want to. why don't you propose to her outright? Then she will have to give you a definite answer. Yes or No. This will relieve your mird. If she should refuse you, you may still be one of her friend?, but you will not to be disturbed as you ar now. DEAR AXXIE LAURIE: Last summer I met a young- girl.
