Country Personals BUCHANAN Mayor T. D. Childs has withdrawn his name as a candidate for mayor on the citizens' ticket. The committee has named A. H. Hiller for the place. Lon Howe also withdrew his name, and the committee has given the nomination for trustee to Fred Howe. The republican ticket is now completed, tte following being named by the committee to fill the vacancies caused by withdrawals: President, George Rogers; trustees, Charles Pears, Harley Squires, Charles P. Rouse. Besides election, voting will be held to decide whether Buchanan will remain a village or become a city, and whether eastern time is to be adopted for the summer. Miss Myrtle Fowler has resigned her position at Wyman's store in South Bend and entered the Clark hospital for training. On account of illness, Mrs. Don Rouse, who was to have been hostess at two bridge parties, Saturday
