Slayer Races to Read Bible Before Execution ¶ COLUMBUS, Ind., Feb. 2.— Reading of the Bible occupied every minute of the waking hours of Ben Brooks, an unschooled woodcutter, condemned to die in the electric chair for the murder of A. B. Montgomery, of Seymour. ¶ Since receiving his sentence, Brooks has allowed himself only a few hours each night for sleep in order that he might give more time to the Bible. ¶ He even begrudges the few minutes he spends bolting down his food and seems determined to com- , plete the Book before the day set for his death. The most popular way of buying furniture and rugs
In most cases furnishings for the home are bought and paid for much the same as a house is bought and paid for an agreed sum at time of purchase, and the balance in monthly payments covering a period of time that will suit the convenience of the purchaser. Here in Heller's we do not operate as is the custom in what is known as the "professional installment stores." In the first place we do not carry, or sell, what is known as "time-payment" furniture. When we sell on long-time credit (as we do many times during every working day in the year) our customers get the same grade of furniture as those who pay spot cash or open 30, 60 or 90-day accounts. In the second place we arrange terms on the basis of how much the customer can conveniently spare each month not on the basis of exacting as large as possible a down payment Ninety per cent of all the business in the world is transacted on credit. You have credit, the same as everybody has If you need furnishings of any kind use that credit. Begin enjoying the use of your new furniture right away.
