HE price of war is mighty. Aside from the sorrow and suffering that it exacts from those fighting afar and those waiting at home is a price that inevitably follows the terrible upheaval. It is best explained as an undercurrent of social unrest.

We can avoid this calamity only by helping the ex-fighter to get back to nor malcy in regard to wages and employment. We are NOT back to normalcy yet. The wake of the posfbellum business depression is NOW carrying along on its tide a great number of ex-service men. When the clarion call of war sounded in seventeen they responded in heroic fashion; and their sacrifice THEN deserves our gratitude now.
