"The Sisn on the Door" opened to capacity hou.'es at the Temple theater yesterday, and will bo shown afternoon and evening for tho last times today. It Is a screen version of C.liannlng Pollock's highly successful stage play of the sam name, and to merely say that it ia a creditable one would bo putting the facts very mildly Indeed. In this production Norma takes lull advantage of the opportunities for dramatic and emotioal acting in wonderful fashion. And the technique and artistry of Herbert Brenon, who directed "Tho Sign on the Door." Is apparent throughout the production. The star has excelrnt support. Charles Itlchman is seen as her leading man, and others prominent in the cast are Lew Cody, David Proctor, Helen Weir and Paul McAllister. '"The Sign on tho Door" was adapted for the screen by Mary Murillo and Herbert Brenon. It is a First National attraction.
