THE NEWS-TIMES fund for a Ford coupe to be used by Mrs. Sue N. Bauer, in charge of the home service department of the Mishawaka Red Cross, is growing rapidly. Checks and money are coming in at a healthy rate. The fund must be completed by next Saturday. Bring on those checks! Bring them to The NewsTimes office or give or mail them , to Frank E. Coats. Better sign that check before we go out after it, 'cause we're bound to get it. Some people have the impression that this Ford coupe will be given to Mrs. Bauer. That is not the case. She will have the use of it during her stay here for Red Cross work. The coupe will be the property of the local chapter of the American Red Cross and will be for the exclusive use of the resident nurse. The Red Cross does heroic work. The' nurse is out in all sorts of inclement weather. Human life often depends upon the rapidity with which . she makes a call. She , is a doctor for all humanity. Give and give gladly! It is a great cause.
