FRUSTRATE ATTEMPTS TO ROB GAS STATION INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 14. An attempt by three men to rob a gasoline filling station in the northern part of the city early today was frustrated when a patrolman appeared as they were trying to load the safe Into their automobile. One of the bandits fired at the patrolman, who returned the fire, and the men drove away, leaving tht safe behind them.

Walls county, special school fund levy from 32 to 12 cents on each $100 of taxable. Levies for two counties, Knox and Scott, were approved by the board as fixed by local officials, also the levy for Posey township, Switzerland county. The rate for Johnson township, Knox county, however, w as cut J 6 cents, the tuition levy being lowered from 5 0 to 4 4 cents, fhe special school levy from 45 to 40 cents and the road levy from 10 to 5 cent..
