One light will bo allowed for each machine and one. for rewinding bench, but all such lights shall be provided with wire guards, and reinforced cord shall be used for pendant purposes. If house lights are controlled from inside the booth, an additional emergency control must be provided near the main exit and kept at all imes in good condition. All electric wiring or apparatus used in connection with any audience room or located in any room, compartment, bcoth or enclosure containing' a. motion picture machine, or in Ahich an exhibition thereof is to be made, shall be in full compliance with the rules of the Klectric Inspection Department. No film shall be exposed in the booth at tho same time other than the one tllm in process of transfer to or from the machine or from the upper to Ihe lower magazine, or In process of re-winding. A separate metal case, made without soldier, shall be provided for each film when the ivame is no in the magazine or in process of re-winding, said film to be kept in these cases. No material of a combustible nature shall be otored within any booth except the films needed for the one day's operation. Fire IlMlngubdäors. Sec. 538. At least two standard hand chemical tiro extinguishers shal be provided, one inside of the booth and located In an accessible place within easy reach of the operator, the other located outside the bootli near door to same. Smoking, Inflammable Material. Sec. 5 "9. Neither smoking nor the keeping nor use of matches will be permitted in any booth, room, compartment or enclosure where a motion picture machine is installed. No paper, books, clothing or debris will be allowed in any booth, and the booth must be kept clean and free from any inllammable material nt all times or any theater or any room of a theater or Motion Picture Thenter, except in a room provided for that purpose. Any person who shall violate Frovision of this Code shall be subject upon conviction to a fine of not less than $5.00. nor more than $25.00 for each offenMo.

Every exit doorway leading from the exhibition room shall have over the same on the auditorium side the word "EXIT" in letern not 1mm than 6 In. high, or an illuminated sign with letters th? same height. Where illuminated signs are not provided there shall be at least one red light over each exit doorway. The exit doorways hall be numbered with figures not les than 6 in. high. Light used In marking exits or lighting passageways, stairways or inclines leading from them 6hall not depend upon or be controlled by wires, switches or fusses located in room, compartment booth or enclosure containing motion picture machines, but shall be controlled from tho ticket office. Orchestra. Sec. M9. Moving picture shows and airdomes shall be permited to have an orchestra, a piano or organ, but shall not be permited to give any pectacular, vaudeville, burlesque, dramatic operatic or other theatrical performance. The Building Commissioner or his reprtentaive is hereby empowered to enter or Inspect any room, compartment, booth or audience room, in which a motion picture machine in installed or in which an exhibition of a picture machine is being given, or is intended to be riven. and any person interfering with said Building Commissioner or representative while in performance of his duty shall he deemed to have violated the provisions of this ordinance. Persons Itesajonsible. Sec. r52. The proprietor, or in his aWnce the manager or other representative in. control of any room or building to which the public 1. admited, and in which an exhibition of one or more motion picture machine is given, shall be held responsible for full compliance with the provisions of this ordinance before Fame is opened to the public. Any operator who sha.ll operate or cause to be operated a machine which is not installed in accordance with the.o provisions nhall be deemed to have violated the provisions of this ordinance. ARTICLE XXX. Stable. Kinds of Construction. Sec. oCb Stables in th eouter limits which are designed for the housing of animals below or above the first floor may be built of mill construction and if designed for housing animals above the second floor they shill be of fireproof construction throughout. A carriage house or garage separated from the stable by a brick wall extending from foundation to roof (if pitcher) or from foundation to i ft.-O in. above roof (if flat) is not subject to the above restrictions as to construction. Ventilation. Sec. 501. Kvery building converted and miintained or constructed and maintained for use as stable or barn shall be provided wit h proper ventilation shaft of sufficient size and height, if such barn or stab.o Is designed or used for the housing of over 4 animals. IlxltN. Sec. 502. livery barn or stable designed or uced to ho'jc-e ton or more animals shall have an exit at each end not under 0 ft.-'" in. wide, with runways and inclines as required. Manure Pits. Sec. 503. livery barn or stable designed or used to house five or less animals shall be provided with a substantial watertight masonry manure pi: properly coped and covered. If located above ground the covering may be of substantial galvanized fly-proof screen. If located under a driveway it hall bo covered with heavy approved wrought iron doors flush with the pavement or surface, of sufficient strength to carry heavily loaded carts or vehicles. livery barn or stable designed or used to house over five animals shall have an air-tight impervious masonry manure vault provided with cleanout doors and all such vaults shall be emptied at least ence eaci 48 hours. All underground manure pits and air-tight vaults must be ventilated by means of a flue inside the stable extending above the roof and shall be connected with sewer. It shall be unlawful and punishable as a violation of thi Code to locate or maintain any manure pit outside any street or alley line. Stables on Front of Ixts. Sec. 3G-4. It wdll be unlawful and punishable as a violation of this Code to hereafter construct and maintain any stable or barn for the stabling or keeping of animals on the front twothirds of any lote or on any street where one-half or more of the buildings on both sides of the street between the next intersecting streets are used exclusively for residence purposes, without the written consent of three-fourths of the property holders according to frontage on both sides of the street. In determining whether one-half the buildings on both sides of the street are used exclusively for resilience purposes, any building fronting on another street and located on a corner lot shall not be considered. Stables In lire Limits. Sec. 5 0 5. After the passage of this ordinance it siaall be unlawful to locate or maintain any barn or stable for the housing o fmore than four animals within the fireproof limits of the city or on any street in any block wherein two-thirds or more of th buildings on both sides of the street aro used for retail stores or offices, without first obtaining the written consent of the owners of said buildings or properties in the manner provided in Sec. 8 00. Filing Consent. Sec. 560. No permit will be issued for the alteration or construction of any building for such purpose unless the written consent be obtained and filed with the Building Department at the time application for permit is made. lianas Close to Schools, etc. Sec. 667. It will hereafter be unlawful to construct, conduct or maintain any Btable or barn for the housing of ten or more animals within a distance of 100 ft. of any school, church hospital public ark or playground. Definition. Sec. 56S. For the purpose of this Code, the word animal" shall be taken to include ponies, horses, mules, or cattle. Smokehouse. Sec. 569. All smokehouses shall be of fireproof construction, .with brick walls, iron doors and brick or metallic roofs. An iron guard shall be placed over and 3 ft.-O above the fire, and the hanging rails shall be of iron. Inflammable liquids are divided into the following three classes: Class 1. Liquids with flash point belowe 25 deg. F., closed cup tester, euch as kerosene, amyl alcohol, turpentine, whiskey and brandy.
