ine executive committee or trie Grand Rapids Federation of Women's clubs is preparing to receive 600 delegates, representing 406 women's cluba of the state, at the annual convention of the Michigan federation at tho Park Congregational church October 11 to 14. Tho complete program has not yet been announced by Mrs. W. M. Alvold, of Detroit, president of the state body, w ho was in Grand Rapids a few days ago to assist with the plans for the meeting. The convention, however, will open with departmental conferences on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 11, and will close at noon on the following Friday. On other days threo sessions will bo held. Tho speaker at the Tuesday evening meeting will be Mrs. Thomas G. Winter, of Minneapolis, Minn., president of the General Federation of Women's clubs. The address will be followed by a reception. Luncheons, teas and other social functions will provid ecntertalnment.
