The Coal Miners' wages were made by the U. S. government, therefore they must be paid these wages until March 31, 1922. Uncle Sam also fixed the presenthigh freight rates on Coal. Congress must pass new laws before the freight on Coal can be changed.

Not until the Miners' wages are reduced, and freight on Coal is made lower can we sell our Coal to you at a cheaper price. No responsible Coal Merchant can offer cut rate prices now; unless he sells an inferior grade of Coal and gives poor service when delivering the Coal to you. We employ no boys at low wages. All our Team and Truck' Drivers are real men, who know how to deliver Coal in the best manner, and we pay them a good salary for their sen ices.
