Dozens of brides and many grooms will receive Beautiful presents in this contest, in case they are married early in the month of June and notify this newspaper to that effect. The only requirement is that they be residents of St. Joseph county and that the marriage ceremony be performed in St. Joseph county.
The News-Times will offer a valuable prize to the first Bride. Although this is the first formal announcement of the opening of the contest, many merchants have already manifested interest in this years event by voluntarily contributing presents of considerable value. One store has an unique offer in mind it will give one dollar in trade to the first 50 bridal couples married in June. Shoes, silverware, groceries, clothing a great variety of other gifts have alread been contributed which will be announced from day to day, from now on until the first of June.

Just as many merchants of South'Bend and Mlshawaka are wanted to take part in the June Bride contest as possible. The list of prizes and the donors will be an nounced every day and much publicity and public
attention will result.
Any merchant wishing to take part in the event should call the Advertising Department of The News-Times.
