questioned by the court. "Did you take this car?" asked Judge Gilmer. "Yes, I guess I did." said Zimmerman. "Why did you take It?" "I don't know," Zimmerman replied. "What did you intend to do with it?" Gilmer inquired. 'I just took it for a ride." declared Zimmerman. "You're bound over to the grand Jury under $500 bond," eaid the court Zimmerman, according to the police, along: with a confederate, removed the car, the property of L. J. Van Oatrand, from in front of a shoe store on E. Wayne st, conducted by Van Ostrand. Notifications sent out by the police to different towns in the state contained their descriptions and upon these clues, the two men were apprehended at Angola, Ind., a few days ago. They were delivered to the custody of police officers at Kendallvllle, Ind. As they were being taken to the station at that place, Zimmerman's partner broke away from an officer there and made good his escape. The police hero were notified of the capture of Zimmerman and Motorcycle Policeman Bert Olmstead left for Kendallvlll and returned with Zimmerman,
ANNOUNCE CREDIT POINTS IN SCOUT CLEAN-UP CAMPAIGN
Special points have been offered by Jo. Taylor, Boy Scout executive, for tho scouts who are taking part in the spring cleanup campaign. All of the reports made by the boys must by presented at the scout headquarters at tho Chamber of Commerce by Saturday noon. Civic service credit points will be offered for each hour's work by a scout. All the work Is to be done in the ward in which the scout lives. Ho will keep track of the time spent In the inspection work. In addition to civic points, 2.500 points will be given to the troop making the best record during this week. The written report required will divide the pointe as follows. First troop, 2.500 points: second troop, 1,500 points, third troop, 1,000 points; fourth troop, 500 points, fifth troops, 250 polntß; 150 points for next five. - Prizes for the essay contest amonp the children in the grade schools will be awarded at the close of the campaign May 8.
