Captain Machine Gun Company for approximately two years (Appointed by President Wilson). Member of the Board of Park Commissioners in the City of South Bend, a non-political board, the members of which serve without pay. (Appointed by Mayor Carson). Mr. Romine solicits your vote and your help on the following propositions: Eliminate vice from our city. No graft in our city. ' Make the police department as efficient, prompt, clean and courteous as a wfell trained Military organization. Give the tax payers a dollar's worth of service, labor or material for a dollar. Consult and advise with the best business men and women on big business questions confronting our city, irrespective of political affiliations. Put a competent woman on the school board. Encourage a fuller use of our Parks and extend them as rapidly as our finances will permit. A closer co-operation with the Charitable institutions in our City and the City administration. Improve the automobile parking conditions in the downtown or "loop district. ' Teach AMERICANISM by enoburaging the Boy Scout Movement.
