Report of the United States Department of Agriculture Proved that Cedar Chests are moth-proof if properly constructed. ("Acme" cedar chests are constructed according to U. S. Government specifications. ) A red cedar chest readily killed all adult moths and showed considerable killing effect upon young larvae. It did not prevent the hatching of eggs, but killed all resulting larvae almost immediately. The foregoing should dispell the last doubt in the minds of the buying public as to the practicability of using the- cedar chest as a preventative of insects. especially moths. However, the cedar chest must be built according to specifications in order to make it absolutely moth-proof.
