1.VD AND Tili: HOY. The week of Feb. 6, will be a red letter week in South Pend. The boys and their dads are polnp to set together, and they are polr.p to pet acquainted over the banquet tables. The churches and boy scout troops will hold Father and Son banquet on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of thi week for the purpose of establishing better and more intimate relationships between tha dad and his son. It sounds pood, all of it, doesn't it? Uke a man or boy taking an annual bath and that's all it will ever amount to unless the dads of this town let go of the twisted end of the dollar sign and take time to know who that little fellow is, who is destined to carry on his name. Here is presented an opportunity. The 3adn of South Hend are poinp to frrasp it. turn over a new leaf and continue literally to hold Father and Son banquets every day In the year. The dads, God bless them, so little is ever said of dads, are going to bcyrln this cominp week by swapping stories and boyhood experiences; are poinp to shout and yell and fdnK their hours together with .he boys and then they are going to continually "Keep on Keeplnp On" with these future leaders of our land. Our dads of South Ilend have come to realize what they have been missing. In the maddening onward rush of civilization which has Just been a niht and a day. they have grown old and pray; they came mighty near losing that spirit and bouyancy which eternally marks youth and its activities. In the tw-inkllng of an eye the realization has come to them "That they are no older than they feel." These grown up boys are again going to play and be boys with the boys. That's all. The boy scout movement has) done much in the la.t 10 years to revive the spirit of play among our big boys, the dads. It has done much to establish a real He man relationship between boy and man and who. If you stop to think. Is hotter equipped to lead a boy than a man. The seed has been sown and scouting if that organization can again be referred to is continually sowing
J the .mnl and the nation Is witnessj lr.p the fruits of its labors. We all realize as the dads of our

there is a period when the mother does the moulding. The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world and we know that ill great men have had pood mothr.1 but after the mother has moulded the early life. the dad should lead, and what's more we are going to lead them as far as possible into life's real usefulness. We have heard too many stories about dad's rushing off to work or business in the mornlntr. leaving the home often before the little lad get?
or over to the club
the office lodge.
A little lad came running into hisj
dad'e office, and in the presence of a visitor, asked his dad ,vhu they

men to show them how to put it over and we are all. every last man who has the interest of his boy at heart, going to keep everlastingly at it and keep after every other dad to lead the way. We none of us, want to feel the embarrassment, suffer the humiliation that dad suffered when his own son wanted to know why they couldnn't all eat at home together. It's so true, so everlastingly true and characteristic of the American home. The mother, well, she does It all and how often we have heard her appeal to the dad for help, that

The cast includes many who are "at home" on the stage, and the plot furnishes enough excitement to please all, even the particular people on the first row.
