TONIGHT'S MIX IS CHANGE FOR TAIT

"IU1I" Hays and ' Clus" es-h. Notre Iame Olympic stars, have accepted an Invitation to compete In th fourth annual handicap track and field nu-ft of the Illinois Athletic club at the Hroadway armory in Chicago Friday night. They will

th pervonnc

th- Week. Hayes will enter the 100 yard da.-h in company with Carl Johnson a n.l "Jack"' Scholz of the Detroit A. c. Johnson is well-known for his p rforma nc s as an all-round athlete at Michiunn; and Scholz, formerly of th lniv rsity of Missouri, and member of la.t year's Olympic team. has teen a factor in Wt-Mcrn track for years. Hayes has been training hard and consistently and the school will pull for his victory over old rival:. lHsrh Iloml Holder. Desch tied the world's record fox 10 yard low hurdles at the I. A. C. meet of last year and will he entered this year in the 60 or 70 yard low sticks. Observers at the gym this season have often wondered li.it Desch does with his other foot when he hops the hurdle; he has all the actions-of a' world-beater and with two more years of collegiate competition should do great things for his school. The relay team will probably race Ames. Officials of the meet have received over 30 0 nominations for entrants and handicaps will be announced In a fewdays by the official handlcapper of the Central A. A. U. Coach Halas will take his baskethall team to CrawfordsvIIle Thursday to meet the "Little Giants," considered by some critics to be the best team in the West. The dope points to a Notre Dame defeat, but If the form shown against the Aggies in the second half is continued the local squad will take great pleasure In kicking the dope bucket clear

'of the court. Friday night the squad

meets De Pauw at Oreencastle In what should prove a whirlwind came. Coaches of visiting teams at Notre Dame, who have met these terriers from the small Indiana schools, report wonderful combinations which only top style floor play can beat.
