Provide Places of Recreation For School Children.

Several lots have been flooded In various parts of the city by the recreational department with a purpose of providing ice skating1 rinks for school children. Electric lighting systems will be Installed at each rink, according to Col. C. Seymour Uullock. who la head of the city recreational department. Tho J. V. Oliver Athletic field and the lot at Map'.e and Jefferson sis. will be flooded thin week if the weather Is cold enough to insure tho forming of ice. Part of tho River Park school grounds were flooded some time ago, and that rink is proving a source of preat enoyment. according to its sponsors.

Truex to repaln possession of the farm which the plaintiff had rented to him. and also to collect damage for non-payment of rental which ho nib ped to have due him. Accordin? to the complaint, the plaintiff r. rrtnl a farm to the defendant for,

the farm would revert to the owner if the rental was not paid promptly on demand. The owner now alleges that the rental ls over due. and that

possession of the land should no iriven him by the court. Tie also alleges that the land has not been farmed properly, that the corn remains unhusked In tho field, that no fertiliser was used on the land, and that crops were not planted according to his directions. Complaint is also made that half the products of the farm have not been

turned over to him, and for that

Sets Track Interchange Case for Hearing Jan. 6 The petition filed before the Public Service commission by the 'New Jersey, Indiana and Illinois Hy. Co.. against the Michigan Central Ry. Co., for the exact determination of locations of interchange tracks and apportionment of maintenance expenses in South Rend will be heard Jan. R, at 1:S0 p. m. The hearing will be held in the chambers of the commission at Indianapolis.
