DOWNFALL OF RUSSIA SYMBOLIZED IN STATUE Gleb Demjinsky, the Russian artist, whose bust of Theodore Roosevelt has been purchased by the Roosevelt memori.il association, is now at work on a statue called "Icar," which symbolizes the downfall of Russia. According to an old Greek myth tht boy "Icar" went up in the air to reach the Sun's rays. The statue typifies the failure of Russia to share in the victory of the Allies despite its four years of war. Demjinsky was a former nobleman and was forced to disguise himself as a sailor to escape the Bolshcviki reign of terror a year ago.
