Novel Window Display At Charles Roy Company The show windows of Chas. Roy Co. arc displaying an unusual exhibition of a miniature electric railway, and a model city. While it attracts the attention of grown-ups, it is of especial interest to children. The train is operated by the regular electric current, runs forward and backward, and starts and stops with a control lever. The background is neatly trimmed in Christmas colors and tlisplay the wares of the concern. The window is one of the most attractive in the city and should be seen to be appreciated.

Tin: pokrovski sonoiiThe Pokrovski Sobor isn't the name of a Polish revolutionist nor the cognomen ot a Bohemian brrend of Fausaitc It is the nnne of the many-towered church in Moscow that has been built up by the hands of many nations and is one ul the n st unique buildinps in the worid. It stands at the threshold of the east and at the point where the most diverse impulses me, and triced to Impress themselves upon th surrounding real estate. First there was the Tartar Influence along with the influences of Indian and Persia, the the pure Byzantine, the the Teuton, latter the Italian, the the Scandihoovian. next the Finnic and latter the Russian. When the hands of so many cooks pet into the broth, the result may be Imagined. Today the Pok etc., is the mcj?t remarkable building ever erected for Christian worship. It is the real futurist affair built before the futurist was ever dreamed about. It was erected to fulfill n promise made by Ivan IV, surnamed the The Terrible, if luck would let him lick the Tartars. Tho church stands at one end of the celebrated Red or Rcautiful Square in Moscow and It ha3 11 churches in one. When it comes to color it wreck the spectrum, when it comes to towers it is a demon and when it comes to secret passages and stairways, it is in a class all by its lonesome. There is nothing !n the world to match It. Besides the 11 churches, there are 21 other chapels and if any Russian citizen can't choose a place to worship among the 3 3 places, it Is Just too bad. Of course today the romping bolshevik has slapped down everything by the synagogue and there isn't much of a choice left for the guy who wants to follow the faith of hi3 fathers, but when the little father ran Russia, you could find any kind of a religion Inside the walls.
