THE ANTI-TUBERCULOSIS LEAGUE needs money to iucate children in the practice of hygiene and to encourage them in habits conducive to good health. It needs money with which to conduct fresh air schools and summer health camps, money with which to help poor families fight the most dreaded of all diseases. TÜE ASSOCIATED CHARITIES needs money to aid the distressed and unfortunate, individuals and families who have met with unexpected disaster. They needmoney with which to lift dependent folks into the independent class, money with which to promote better home conditions. THE CHILDREN'S DISPENSARY needs money to help make crippled children well, money with which to give innocent, undernourished babies the right start in life. THE CIRCLE OF MERCY DAY NURSERY needs money to conduct a day home for children whose mothers are obliged to work. THE EPWORTH AND ST. JOSEPH HOSPITALS need money, and need it badly, in order that South Bend's sick may be cared for properly. These institutions need money to provide for necessary equipment, money with which to meet an increasing deficit due to increased costs. THE ORPHANS' HOME needs money to make homes for the homeless, money with which to care for little folks who have no mother or father's love. THE FLORENCE CRITTENTON CIRCLE needs money to w aid in its work of rescuing unfortunate girls from a living nightmare; to provide maternity care; and to secure homes for the babes of unwedded parents. THE SALVATION ARMY needs money with which to perform the work of the Good Samaritan; money with which to relieve the aged, sick and distressed. THE VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION needs money to make possible the hundreds of errands it performs errands of mercy that bring smiles to the lips of the sick and discouraged. THE YOUNG WOMEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION needs money to educate physically, industrially and morally, South Bend's splendid young women; money with which to aid girls away from home.
