Sharp breaks in the price of wheat took place Thursday owinff' largely to apparent stoppage of buying for Great Ilritain and to bearish views of genral business conditions. The market closed nervous Z 1-2 to 7 1-2 cents lower with December $1.80 1-4 to $ 1.80 3-4 an : March J1.74 to $1.74 J-i. Corn . t 2 1-2 to 3 "-$ cents and oats 1 to 2 5-8 cents. In provisions the outcome varied from n'ven cents decline to 4 3 cents advance. Reports that the Hritish Royal commission had failed to accept overnight offers of wheat were generally taken t3 Indicate that for at lea- the prcHent .any fresh buying for Europe would only be done at substantial declines in price. Weakness of Sterling exchange tended further to ihe advantage of the bears, and so too, did the announcement of price cutting for commodities other than grain. Under such circumstances speculative selling hocamo acgre;??ive and thro was considerable liquidation on the part of holders. Foodstuffs reflected the action of wheat and declined rapidly, both ccrn and oats dropping to the lowest level yet this season. MARKETS riTTMUItü LIVE STOCK. riTTSM'Hr., IM..
