WASHINGTON. Nov. 10 Atty. Cien. Palmer indicated Wednesday night that he might make reply Thursday to statements made by Federal Judge Anderson at Indiana polls this week in regard to Mr. Palmer's connection with the soft coal conspiracy. A transcript of Judge Anderson's remarks reached the department cf justice Wednesday and the attorney general indicted that on examination he found they justified or demanded an answer, he would formulate a reply. Mr. Palmer was in conference with a number of his aides during the day in connection with the situation that has developed at Indianapolis.

Protests that government, othcials had sold him his" still, with permits for i's use. could not save Alex Patus, a farmer residing near Niles, from arrest and arraignment before Justice White at St. Joseph. Tuesday. Patus plead guilty to the operation of a still and was given his choice of going to prison for six months or paying a fine of $"i'o. After a few days in jail he decided to part with the money.
