Another interestingfeature of thi costume is the headdress not a hat at all. but one of the new Paris headdresses which arc all the rac. A close bandeau of Je tits around the head over the hair and at the front of this bandeau are mounted three paradise feathers which ?lant in eccentric directions, an effrrf considered decidedly smart. lluruoose In I2idence Many weeks npo burnoose wraps tha last word from Paris were prophesied as a salient winter fashion, and here is a burnoose wrap for horse .show wear; a stunning affair of black panne velvet banded with Chinese brocade strips in Jep blue and black. The upper put of the wrap tias t Tie burnoose fullness, above the cicely swathed lower half which outlines the .silhouette and pives a graceful, taperirirC line. Enormous ciiffs and a huge collar of lynx increase the bulklncs of the upper part cf the garment, emphasizing its contract with the slim lower part. A fashionably short evening frock is worn under this wrap and no one can miss the Russian slipper with three buttoned straps! F'r wraps always make their Vinter low at the horse fhow and this year mink and squirrel wraps are especially fashionable. The mink wrap pictured has its full complement of dansling paws and brushes fashIon cannot have too many this season. The arrangement of mink skins in a vertical panel at thft back, below a cipe sec'ion of vertical pells, while the lower part of the wrap and the collar have horizontal pelts, is a notable feature. The mink wrap with !t sumptuous lines i -;oubly effective over a 0wn of delists chiffon in faint pink, with T-i n V- riKfrl-H trtrr. I -'..J -. iiir i'i) 1 .aim:. i-t 4.4 hides of rose. The hat Ss purple, the I hi n vj.uirrel wrap has lovely, shaded pray tone? and the stcckir.tr and slippers ar pale .gray, so the costume is dainty in color scheme as well as graceful in line. Tailortuade Women At Afternoon Sessions In the afternoon, at the horse show, you see pcDd looking tailleurs. A few beautiful frocks, with limousine wraps, appear in the boxes, but on the promenade stunning tailored suits are the rule. Not a few young women are in sport togs trim, well cut fport ruit.s of tweed or chev.ot with beaver sailors and Fr.jrlish low heeled brogues worn with woolen stockincrs. But for the most r-rt the f 0 ! n' w. ir.uli4.tlCT promtailored enader? wear more formal gnrb and the tallormade girl in the picture is wf'l dressed for the show.

Indeed she would at the horse show!

'.". 1 are ?o occupied with he tunnin$: costumes they src. on tne promenade and in boxes: and with the interesting1 events going on la the tanbark oval, during the first part of your visi to the horse show, that you don't think about footwear at all. But once footwear begins to attract your eye you can't think of anything else for a time so fascinatingly pretty and so fetchingly smart are the feminine boot:: and slipper? and oxfords that trip around the great promenade. Not a shabby pair of shoes touches thoss boards, one is sure! Everybody seems to be spic and span in foot covering, and since the show Is held indoors and most penpl arrive in limousines or taxis, the daintiest boo's and slippers accompany even street costumes that would usually call for stouter so'ed . shoe? cf the walking type. The horse show is an excellent place to observe modish foo'cear of the more formal sort the beautifully built buttoned boot that tVs lr.tep and ankle like a glove, the high heeled slipper that ordinarily woull not show 1 " e l I OU.MllC it, Ll ii.S 4 . room in winter time, but at the hrse show is cen with the sort of costume over which one wears a limousine wrap. Stouter shoes arc seen cn th promenade the obviously stout boots that the sport girl wears faddLshly with her regulation sport costume: tan leather oxfords they are with inch-high heels and ornamentation cf heavy stitching. These are accompanied by woolen , stockings of heather shades and have a particularly sporting, outdoor look ', with the outdoor costumes they ac- j compiny. Even these so-called heavy' sport oxfords, however, are beauti- j fully shaped, and the leather Is so soft and pliable that such a shoe is not by any means as heavy as it looks. Ve ry correct sport oxfords are shown
