PLAN WINTER CARNIVAL HERE
To Put Oliver Playground in Condition for Retter Sport?. The rerreation committee is-' planr.in to have a winter carnival with
skating and other outdoor sports the coming season, according to Col. Seymour Bullock, recreational director. It will be held in the J. D. Oliver playfield. With the coming of spring, work will begin on a swimming btach in the St. Joseph river. Preparations are being made to put the gate house at the Oliver held in condition for a tenant who will act as care Keeper. There are ye, two nights open for the Business trials' bowling league. CHILD REX S' DISPEXSARY CARES FOR 235 CASES Reports read at the meeting of the board of directors of the Children's dispensary held Wednesday morninp at th Chamber of Commerce, showed cases taken care of during the month of Augii't. of which 1S5 were for minor purgical dressings. Nine regular clinics were held with an attendance of 135, and two orthopaedic clinics with five patients in attendance. There were 153 home visits made and 13 dental a; pointments. Four hundred and thirty-nine quarts of milk were dispensed and U.Sie feedinsrs were prepared. The board will meet Oct. 13 at the sajne place. IIKIiD rOR DESERTION. Arthur Bennett. Berrien üprings.
