This is the fifth tvent of a series that has been conducted by South Bend managers and every race has given entire satisfaction both to the riders who competed for the prizes and to the public that has attended in such poodly crowds. For tho clo?e of the series some new faces will be seen on the track and such riders as Bob. Jones and Steve Wesley, of Chicago, promise to add to the excitement of the finishes. Other better known riders like Maidwyn Jones, Chuck Morrison. Ed Brinck. Don Marks and Charley Smith will be in the running, no doubt for Marks copped all the firsts for which he contended on Aug. 8. The side car event promises to furnish some of the most s.enpati'.na! sport of the afternoon. When they come down the stretch, lay over them and go into the turn broadside, it pulls the crowd rixht out of their seats. This will be strictly a race for the horns bunch with Alvin 'Wil'dans, Howard Hagedorn. C. Kindig and other out to make good. Dodge's band of Mishawaka will furnish the music and w;th the added free attraction of Lottie Mayer and her diving beauties, th-par: should entertain big crowds.
