Paris Tops New Fall Frocks With A Matching Coat

It Is certainly most welcome. that latest Paris whim, for It gives delightful convenience of the well-

loved ku It without the usual "broken" appearance of tho tkirt and blouse that so many women find unbecoming. In Harper's Bazar for August there are several examples of this new mode as developed in delightful ways. One is of blue serpe with a lone: waisted bodice of white crepe do Chine, stitched In white, and with a crushed pirdle of blue serge at the normal waist line. Th" coat which accompanies It Is of blue flerge rtltched in white. cuiTless and without fastenings, the whole effect being decidodly chic and becoming. Jenny, who is the originator of this costume, calls It "Pratique." Another example of the new mode Is for more dressy occasions. The frock of soft black crepo de Chine Is refreshingly plain, short of sleeve, round of neck and with a frivolous ruffle Just below the walt which cascades on down the sidea. Then

to make up for the simplicity of the frock, Chanel, who Is the creator, gives it a coat of black crepe de chine embroidered In opaque white beads.

Oh. dear! A woman never can express her true opinion of a man not even on his tombstone.

It takes a lot of actual cleverness to write a brilliant and effective love letter, but It takes a lot of actual brains to refrain from writing one.

rersiflaget Before marriage, an Impertinence in frills. After marriage, a flam, with its collar off. Of course, I am only a poor, weak woman but it looks to me ns though the noble ambition of each political party is to "save the country" from the other party.

Men have been classified as "what women marry-" They have two feet, two hands, and rometimes two wivP3 but never moro than one collar button or one idea at a time.

Men will be bovs! And the nvin who marries nowadays Is looking, not for a soul-mate but for a playmate, not for a guide to heaven, but for a guide to amusement.

Notice to Owners of Rooming HousesWe know that it is difficult to make any money in a rooming house if you have to furnish all of your rooms with new furniture. Present prices hardly permit it If you have been holding off furnishing any of your rooms because of the price of new furniture we know you will be exceedingly pleased if you take a walk through our Exchange Department and see how low how very low you can get used furniture of a good quality. All of this furniture was taken in by us as part payment on new goods from homes where they had good furniture, but became tired of it or wished later designs or different finishes. It has all been over hauled, re-varnished and re-finished, and most of it looks like new. You won't have to be urged to buy when you see what we've got here. All kinds of bargains in dressers, wash stands, good beds, tables, etc. Also a few rugs.
