Colopel HeiUso has been entertained by King Ge-orge, but the account of th- reception contains no intimation that the distinguished American nudged bis majesty. A St. Louis dispatch tells of a $:0,0i'ü whisky robbery in that town. Anl yet Los Angeles thinks it enjoys a real calamity when it has a little earthquake. The truth of the matter is, onehalf the people are producing the necessaries of life ami the whole population Is in the scramble to get i hug's share. It has developed that deputy sheriff Frank Kerr was not taken ill on account f the "fixings" of the hamburg rs he ate at Logansport, but because he over ate himself.
