From the play of the same name by Jerome K. Jerome. i DESPISE MEN!" So said Miss Hobbs to all wooers, and she had plenty of them, because she was amazingly pretty. And not only did Miss Hobbs reject all the supplications of the opposite sex, but she persuaded her girl friends to frown on the attentions of courting boys. She made these friends join her in her hobbies, such as barefoot dancing on the dewy grass at daybreak, and so thought to keep their minds off their male ex-acquaintances. Can you imagine a youth making a wager he could win the love of a GIRL LIKE THAT? It doesn't seem possible any man would take such a chance, but this one was a daredevil! How far did he get with his courtship? You may imagine, but to know you must see Wanda Hawley in "MISS HOBBS." WEDNESDAY The second episode of "Daredevil Jack" "THE BALL OF DEATH," featuring JACK DEMPSEY, the best known man in the world, in an electric action serial, vibrant with adventure. Also the concluding episode of "The Invisible Hand," featuring Antonio Moreno and Pauline Curley.
