said we knew all there was to know about women, we were, mildly speaking, a little liar. Put we have apaln Ftrayed from the path where Geraldine and Hillie are walking In opposite directions. Climbing back over the camouflaged phrubbery erected above, let's get on the main road once more. N'ot that we should remind you of the old song: "For When I Walk. I Always Walk With Billie," but we must follow her banner in her fight with Miss Far rar. Ilecauso we like that sentence: Love Id the burial of the eternal ego, and we, like to think, as we wander down the twisting hill of life, that the .fields beyond are. dotted with rose-covered homes and peopled with loving hearts. We like to think that in the great cities piercing the skyline on the other side of the fields are men and women who have pacriflced themselves to a great or small extent, not selfishly, hut In order that ono dear to them might be happy. STANDARDS ARK IjOWKIC. For though we may pay and that truly that morar standards as we knew them a dozen years ago have dropped dangerously low; though we may talk of the gentle modesty of tho boys and girls of our yesterdays and deplore with widened eye their generally accepted actions of today the sound and sensible fact remains that hearts function now as they did always, and that all throuerh our land are thousands upon thousands, young and old, who have not been swayed bv the

frothy, frivolous wave o looseness which has swept the world in the past few years. And it appears to a mere onlooker that we must look to the women of our country for leadership in love. Not the class of woman who carried prohibition to a successful issue, though their work was done nobly and well. But the problem of love making and the ethics attached thereto must be guided by the younger ladies of today, because their work will not be carried on through the columns of any publication nor on banners carried in parades. Rather their propaganda will be put over on half-darkened porch swings, with no light save that of a kindly moon and no music other than a summer breeze. AX INDIVIDUAL IIATTLK. Their battle ground will not be opened to the public view, for each has an individual fight to win and each must he her own captain, marshalling In tempting array all the wiles and guiles of womanhood, then carrying the battle straight as an arrow to the heart of him she would convert. She must win that fight must make him holieve that he fdiall do his utmost toward making the world better for her own sweet sake. And then, if it is true that love is the burial of the eternal ego, she shall have added another soldier to the legion who believe that ideals live now just as they did when knighthood was in flower.
BOY SCOUT CAMP TO OPEN AT BIRCH LAKE MONDAY
fCOXTINFED FROM PAGE ONE) periods each day will be given over to swimming under expert guidance, and with every precaution for safety. Every morning the scouts will have two hours of instruction In scout craft, and on hour in the afternoon will be devoted to either ccout games, hiking, stalking cr exploring trips. Perhaps the best feature of all, and without doubt the one which will preserve longest pleasant memories of Pdrch Lake camp, is the evening campflre. Mr. Taylor promises that they will be real live campflres with stcry-telling. stunts, and good live singing. Full consideration has been given the religious element, arrangements having been made for mas for the Catholic boys and service tor the Protestant boys every Sunday. These arrangements have been made in view of the 12th point of the ecout law which states that a sout must be faithful in his religious duties. Every evening at 9 o'clock the camp bugler will sound Uds. the ,-al! that sends boys to their bunks for
