Coats and Capes of Black and Gray Satin arc Favored
nv wNirrn: im.nsii.w Black satin is a favored silk for the afternoon rvrap. At the rieht is pictured a handsom model that affects the lines of the cape. Thre are no ideeves In this creation, i'.ut the openings on the .sides are outlined with finely pleated ruchings of the fatln. The collar is similarly adorned anff may be turned up so that it fits snugly about the neck. Ucneath a yoke which is defined by a satincovered cord, the satin i9 arranged in accordion pleat?. Th linin? of copenhacen taffeta i reflected in the blue flowers massed or. the brim of the white horsehair hat. Gray patin is chosen for the coat, but this is cut on very- different lines. The arm seams are dropped very low on the shoulders and the sleeves flninshed with soft turnback cuffs. Above the waistline in the bick the satin Is sliphtly pouched, but from this point it falls closely about the p.gure. On the sides are effective emoredderrdies of heavy black Filk and threads of tinsel. The lining of purple taffeta reveals the vepue for gay colors. The smart turban n made entirely of purple and blue violets. prVater height belnp achieved by the addition of a black feather.
