August DeMeestor was fined JjO and costs by Judge Faig. yesterday upon his plea of guilty to a charge of running a gambling game. He paid the fine and costs. DeMeester w as arrested last week Sun lay as the result of a gambling raid carried out by the police. At the time of the arrest there wax $223. 50 stakes. Michael Arnold was brought hack to Mishawaka by Chief Pf ender and Patrolman i:iehardon last night from Three Ilivers, Mich., wh re he was arrested. He is charged with larceny preferred by Iloyd Van Gilder, from whom he is alleged to have stob-n a suit of elothinjr. a pair of shoes and a shirt. He will be arraigned Monday. The case of the State vs. Charles Ticnt, charged with child desertion, has been continued until Monday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wiles. 200 W. Twelfth st.. died at St. Joseph's hospital last evening, after a weeks illness with complications. She was born in Flkhart. Nov. 20. 1014. The body was removed to the F. K. Coats funeral home. Funeral arrangements will be made later.
