Edward Wegner, who conducted a successful motorcycle race met at Springbrcok park on June 6. has arranged for another similar event on Sunday, July 11. on the same track. As the feature event h hr.s secured the sanction for the national 2:-mile championship race, the only one that will be run this year und one that is open to any rider of any machine In the country. Besides the 25-mile race there will

be two ttvo-mile elimination contests, a consolation race, a side-car evert and a Johnson motorwhcel exhibition. The M. & A. T. A. are sending thr-:t? handsome medals for the feature race, one of gold and diamonds, cne of silver and a third of bronze. These will go to the successful contestants in addition to liberal cash prizes. Ludlow to Ride. Ten professional riders have already signified their intention of entering. Fred Ludlow, of Lea Angeles. Calif., will return for a try at the prizes. He was the principal winner in the last event. Maldwyn Jonte, of the Harley-Davidson factory, will also be present. Both are riders of daring: and skill and expect to clean up here. However, they will find stiff er competition than was offered at the June meet. The Indian facte ry will have a fast team entered. Ralph Burns, of Oakland, Calif., and Jean Walker, of Birmingham, Ala., will represent them. Other Indian riders who have entered are Dm Marks, of Sprlngtleld. Mass.; Fred Nixon. Toronto, Can.; Earl Keller, of Plymouth, Ind.; Chuck Morrison, Toledo, O., and Ray Creviston, South Bend, Ind.
