Is it?), but I rise to remark that the torrent of slang may bo "damned" without reference to the dictionary, although it may be damned much more effectively with the aid of Webster. Would it be in order to say, further, that some of the "damn" language we hear on the streets and in other public places, frequently in the presence of ladies, is e;ulte as objectionable, to say the least, as slang and this too might bo obviated in some measure by an enlarged vocabulary.
