DEMOCRATS FIND POLL INSPECTORS
T mocratio leaders in the county Friday anticipated little trobule in finding sufficient inspectors to man the polls on the day of the primary. May 4, one prominent democrat assertlnr that little effort had been made up to date to round up the forces but expressed a feeling of optimism over the prospect of sei urlng competent primary oflieials. The democratic county chairman according to the election law is authorized to appoint one inspector fr each precinct polling place. This authorization is secured by the fact that the stutute provide for the appointment of inspectors by the party casting the largest number of ballots in the preceding election. which privilege 1 awarded to the democrat to party on this occasion. it is expected that when the primary day rolls around the polls will 1 e, fully manned ami no litigation or argument will result from a lack of inspector, clerks. Judges or sheriffs at the polls. "Voters have born volunteering for th wrl dailv." declared one politician Friday, "and we anticipate little dltllcultv In preparing a full ouota of oMlciaK When the list is completed we will have it filed and be ready for the-opening of tho otir.g places on May 4."

Good Old Fashioned Faith -That's What The World
Needs Most
LSI
W;MiHti- xx
HAT is the cure for the world's present troubles for un
rest and envy and covetousness and fear?
Legislation? Industrial compromises? Political readjustments? We've tried them all, and they do not satisfy. We're hungry and thirsty for Faith. "The world needs a genuine religious revival," cabled the London financial editor of the New York Evening Post recently. And he added: "This is the view of hard-headed business men." What business men are now proclaiming the churches have always proclaimed. You must touch the spirits of men if you are to change their lives : only to the extent of their faith in each other can they work together. All remedies are makeshifts except the Golden Rule. Thirty denominations, knowing the need to be too great for any one denomination to meet alone, are cooperating in a nationwide campaign. It is a campaign for deepening the spiritual forces of men ; for enlisting their hearts, and their pocket-books too. And every man and woman who loves America will be glad of a chance to help. For the hope of America is Democracy and the Founder of Democracy was the Founder of the Church. It was He who first called men sons of God, and so made all men brothers. Not as employers and employees, not as members of parties or 4sects, but as sons of God and brothers all let us work out our problems together. To strengthen the Church is our first great task; out of the Church floWs Faith.
