Owing to the serious condition of August Claeys, tho case of the State vs. Trlphon "Speybrouck, charged with mayhem, was continued for a week. Speybrouck is out on a 5300 bond for his appearance in court on this charge. Ho is also under a $50 bond on an assault and batten case Several weeks ago Speybrouck and Claeys enraged in a quarrel, during which, it is charged, bit off part of Clacy's index finger. Blood poisoning has set in. Claeys was unable to appear in court Saturday morning. His condition is regarded as serious.
