improvement in condition.
Tor the purpo?e of making a sweeping investigation of the street car crash between a N!'M-South Bend Interurban and a St- Mary's car at the KUwood av., switch Sunday afternoon which cost the life of one and Inflicted injuries to eight others, G. E. Starbird and J. E. Jones. Inspectors from the Bureau of Safety of the Interstate commerce commission arrived in South Rend Wednesday and have taken the depositions of witnesses and street car officials. It has been explained that the investigation is merely a routine procedure on the part of the safety bureau in an effort to put the blamo on the responsible parties but the bureau makes no effort to take sides in any legal controversy that may ensue. To Make Report. Upon the completion of the Investigation, the inspectors make a regular report to the WashinRton ottico of the commerce commission and there the proper action to bo taken is determined. Advices from Epworth hospital indicate that Miss Pearl PrzybyskI of New Carlisle, one of the seriously Injured in the crash Is somewhat better and her chances for recovery are briKhter although it was declared that her condition is still regarded as critical.
