ARRANGE PLAN EOR DRAINAGE MEETING

I'RBANA. 111.. March 11 All of the knowledge of the faculty members. toKt-thr with the resources, data and other helpful material of the College of Knedneerintr. of the university will be utilized to make the third annual drainage conference of the University of Illinois the preatest ever held. The meetings will be held March 1. IT and IS in the engineering buildings. Considerable dkcussion is being had at this time on the straightening of the river channels in the state, the protection of the river bottom lands from overflow by the construction of levees, and the construction of levees, and the draining ot the low lands through the organization of drainage districts. The purpose of the conference is to hring together the towners of such lands, drainage, engineers, agriculturists, attorneys, contractors, and others concerned for a discussion of specific enterprises which have immediate interest to various groups of citizens, and of ways and means for accomplishing them. Thoo who attend will bo urged tn present individual problems to the conference for consideration and to take part in the discussions which arise.
