PALESTINE. Tex., Sept. 22. Jack Coombs, former major leaprue baseball player, was shot in the leg while engaged in a dispute over the right of way on a country road near here Sunday night. Coombs was driving his car along a narrow road, closely followed by Dan I-aroe. a road contractor, who accodlng to Coombs, tried to pass him. Coombs says he stopped his car and the quarrel followed.
