"The average price per pound of sheet Mica produced in 1917 was 58 cents, a price lower than for either 1916 (61 cents) or 1915 (68 cents), but higher than for any other preced

ing year.

One can readily appreciate the enormous value in Mica at a price of 58 cents per pound (1917.) One ton to five tons of Mica can be mined daily at highly satisfactory profits to the producing company. As we own our forty acres outright through purchase and we are incorporated to mine and manufacture Mica, this is not only a possibility but you can employ ten laborers who can readily mine 200 pounds each per day, or 2,000 pounds (1 ton) total daily with a value (figured at the 58 cent price) of $1160 gross, and if you charge off one-half of this amount to every known overhead expense you would have a net earning of $580 dailv, or $174,000 yearly with only $70,000 in authorized stock of the Crystal Clear Mica Company, Inc., on the market.

TO mOU IT MAY CONCERN: About ton days ago, I went to Randolph County, Alabama, with Mr. Paige and went over with him, forty acre plot- of ground known a3 8ection One, a tract of land covered by the contract for deed between C. LI. Cooley and FL J. Paige. This land io situated about fourteen miles by the road from the town of Heflin in the State of Alabama. A number öf prospecting shafts have been sunk to different depths on each of these forty r.cre tracts and show good sized veins of Mica. Mining hüs been commenced in a number of the surrounding forty acre tracts- and shows that there is a great quantity of Mica on these and the adjacent properties. I saw some large books of Mica taken out of the mines on adjacent property. Ono of the books that I saw taken out weighed about one hundred and eighty pounds. It is my belief that if mining operations are conducted on this tract in a proper manner that a large supply can be opened up.
