Board of Viorks Takes Up Matter-Orders Phone Poles Off Street. The installation of a l.ööO.öüO gallon reservoir and a tank and stand werf discussed at the meeting of the. board of public works Monday morning. The tank, if installed, would necessitate a cost of over ö ofai. The purpose of the reservoir would be to take care of the surplus flow of water during tho ITöurs that very little water is used, and would help feed the mains at time of a fire or when an increased flow and high pressure would be necessary without injuring the engines and pumps with the- great strain. The Central Union Telephone 'o. was ordered to remove its telephone polos from the roadway on W. Third Th contract for city electric lamps for ll'-O was awarded to Karl Perkins. A. It. Klein was named to receive bids on a boiler for the north side rire station and to see to the installing. It was decided to re-advertise for bids for the placing of a side walk on 1Z. Sixth st. Bids received for thecurbing and side walking of W. Sixth st., were referred to tho city engineer. The hoard alPo decided to advertise for bids on the strip of walk to be laid on N. Sarah st.
