Duluth Test of Franklin Shows 7291 Miles in 21 Hours Running Time.

The Duluth run is typical of a number of economy tests which are being planned over the country by franklin automobile dealers.

Py covering the distance of 729 4 miles In 23 hours and 30 minutes, elapsed time, and In 21 hours and 37 minutes actual running time, J. T. I'eacha, Jr., of Duluth. Minn., driving a Franklin roadster this week broke the world's records for dirt roads. Details of the remarkable run were received in South Llend today by Arnold Spielberg, local agent for tho Franklin car. The run was planned about a wek in Advance and was the result of a $5 00 wager that the car, which was previously used as a pathfinder car for a Duluth newspaper, could not make over 700 miles In 2 4 hours. The car had
been on a hard run of more than j 200 mile." to Ashland and back only two days before and there was no time for overhauling the engine.
