The city budt for 1920 was submitted by City Controller Michael at the regular weekly meettng of th board of works Monday, and was adopted. A new garden house for Hattell park has lioen received and the board decided to place it in position so it can be ready for use next spring. In connection with this the controller reported that the $5,500 allotted for park during tht; current year had been spent. He asked for an allotment for the purpose of settling for the garden house. This was. granted. The board passed a resolution for a sidewalk on Jefferson st., from Main -to Sarah, and for the building of a sidewalk and the grading of X. Charlotte st. The time for hearings on this will be Sept. S. A resolution was passed for the jpening of Thirteenth st. Hearings will bo Sept. 8. A resolution for the building oi sidewalks on W. I When Postmaster Herzog arrived; on duty he founl a line of women i anxiously awaiting the opportunity! to participate In the bargains.
