Li 'SHELL' PI Meanwhile Band Will Experiment With Results Playing Atop Reservoir. The weekly concert will he piven at Keeper park this evening at S o'clock by Klbel's hand. Instead of the usual place In the park, which "Was west of Lafayette hlvd.. the stain! will he shifted to the east of -Michigan t.. the stand beinp erected on top of the reservoir, which is locatel at the intersection -of Partlett. St. Joseph Us. and Riverside dr. Some complaints have been Med i with the park board in that the proprams presented by Klbel's band can not he heard throughout Leeper park, ;.lthouuh conditions are better in Howard park. As the band is compelled to sit out in the open in Leeper park, where there is no cov ,.r 0f any description for the stand, which Is not elevated very high, members of t lie board are going; to try an experiment by playing the band on top of the reservoir on the ' east side of Michigan st. And, if it I proves satisfactory, the remainder of concerts scheduled for Leeper park for the season will be held there As a matter of fact, neither park is properly equipped for open air band concerts for it requires a shell built expressly for that purpose in order to oldain the hest results. On this the members of the park board are agreed. Put they are unable to change matters at this time because of insullicient funds. However, the mcmhers of the park hoard are hopeful that in another season sufficient funds will be appropriated to install . shell in at least one of the parks for next season. The program for Sunday features th suite. "Atlantis," ami a new medlty of popular song hits. The latter has Just been issued and will played in this community for the lirst time.
