Kendri' k was attempting to n-peat his succf:.:-ful landing of a seaplane on the beach at Atlantic City. Hi.s successful attempt was the first time it had been done in the history of aviation. When about ."00 feet in the air the plane sideslipped and trashed to the beach, buryin; itself several feet in the sand. Kendriek and his companion. James Pew. Jr., of Ventner, N. J., were killed instantly. A large crowd witnessed the fatal accident.

Th new law. passed by the last session of the Indiana legislature, provides th.t all property must he assessed at its true cash value. The hearings will begin on Thursday of this week, and property owners in the various townships ary advised to appear with their complaints on the days enumerated b the board, as absolutely no recognition will be given to complaints that do not appear on the scheduled dry. Following is the scheduled hearing dates for the townships: June Ö. Olive twp. and New Carlisle. June S, Warren twp. June 7, German twp. June 9. Clay twp and Hoseland. June 10, Harris twp.
