To wan" the close profit taking developed in some of the specialties, causing slight reactions. At the meeting of the KellySpringbcld Co. today the directors authorized the Increase in the stock. The statement of the U. S. Steel corporation, while not exactly up to previous expectation, showed a substantial increase in . the intrinsic value cf tho shares. Call ir. oney appeared to be in better demj.nd at C percent, which is a slight increase over last week's rate. The money market should be closely watched, n we are not likely to have much further upturn in stock values if money rates advance. Profits on long stocks should be taken whenever the market is strong and repurchased on the little reactions which occur from time to time.
