Iike I'orest Academy will meet the local hlsh school Saturday at 2:30 at the "Y" pym in what is expected to t'- th Fcrappie?t and hest basketball Kam of th iclidule. The locals defeated the Illinois crew two years aqo and the academy lads are Iexpertel to arrive loaded to the top In order to attempt to swamp the loralp. After a week of strenuous training, which was followed by the Laporte pame last eveninpr, the Ilenders are in the best shape of the season, and expect to give the Foresters a fight that they will never forget. The training that Coach Cohlmeyre has drilled the local squad on isi mostly trick plays, which are expected to take the "Zip" out of the Iake Forest crew at the Ftart. Ilasket shooting and passing have also been in voruc during the week at the "Y" gym, Coach Cohlmeyre taking these weaknesses In hand and drilling each man on pettinc: rid of tho ball, which was the principal trouble in the Klkhart game. The Academy lads are expected to turn OiU with the 'strongest quintet of years, many of the veteran basket artists having returned to uphold a perfect standard for this year's five. When the locals swamped them two years ago they did a wonderful job of it but those were in the days when South Bend hish school was known far and wide as a basketball town which turned out perfect crews. Fabo, O'Donnel, Cochevety and Smith being the mainstays of the quintet. But the tables have now changed, the Foresters seeming to have the upper hand this year, although Capt. Watters and his five are going to go into the tilt with all their "pep" and hope to ihow the Forest crew up as in former years. The men who will likely start the tilt for the gold and blue are: Cunningham and Wedel, forwards; Watters. center; Olsen and Buntman, guards.
