DEATHS REV. LAFAYETTE L. STEELE. Rev. Lafayette L. Steele, 40 years old, youngest son of Mrs. Mary
Steele of North Liberty, Ind., died at his home in North Liberty Thursday morning following almost a year's illness with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Una Steele, and by three children, Grant Paul and Helen, all of north Liberty. His mother, Mrs. Mary Steele, and a sister, Miss Elsie Steele, also live there, while a second sister, Mrs. Ethel Snyder, lives on a neighboring farm. A brother, Brenton Steele, is now in Pullman, Wash. Mr. Steele was born in Lincoln township Feb. 15, 1878, and has lived in North Liberty practically all his life. Up to the time of his death, Mr. Steele acted as presiding elder in the Pine Creek district of the Brethren church. He was ordained into the ministry in 1902. Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed. MARJORIE LEPORE LISTER. .Marjorie Lepore Lister, 19-year-old daughter of John R. Lister of Gulf Port, Miss., died at 6 o'clock Thursday morning following an illness of two years with typhoid and complications. She is survived by her father, John R. Lister. Miss Lister was born in Buchanan, Mich., on April 26, 1899, and came to this city from Gulf Port about a year and a half ago. The funeral will be helf in Buchanan at 11 o'clock on Saturday. JASPER BOYD. Jasper Boyd, 44 years old, 726 W. Napier st., died at his home at 4 o'clock Thursday following a short illness. He is survived by five sisters, Miss Elwyn Boyd of Chicago, Miss Marie Boyd, of Kalamazoo, and by Mrs. Aaron Avlor, Mrs. William Ebony and Mrs. William Hays, all of Chicago. Two brothers, Clyde and Robert Boyd, live in South Bend, and a third, Arthur, lives in Kalamazoo, Mich. Alfred Boyd, a fourth brother, is in Springfield, Mass.
